fantastic riffing, truly evil vocals, remember hearing that when it came out and being so impressed with it.

I discovered the mighty Enthroned with "Prophecies of pagan fire" that's my choice but musically "XES" is by far superior to the others. It's hard to choose because Enthroned is my favorite bm band by far. There's something on every album that appeals to me. Enthroned deserve a LOT more credit than they recieve!

I've chosen 'prophecies of .....' because it's got a lot of symphonic passages and a very dark atmosphere. I haven't got Xes Haereticum, Carnage in worlds beyond and regie sathanas yet, but i'm sure there are all black masterpieces...

Oh yeah Nornagest, could you tell the exact story of what happened in Namur? And how did you find this story?

Well I know the song 'dance of a thousand knives' and it blew me away, especially that guitarsolo: AMAZING!! And the song and I guess also the rest of the album has a good production, so that's also a bonus. When I got the album I'll inform you all about how I'm loving it.

vortex of confusion is my my favourite song on the album.i own the limited digipack with different coverart and the 3 bonus songs.foun it at a local record store (weird that they got a real black metal album).Blacker then black has my fav. lyrics catchy song to.

XES Haereticum is my favorite one! It'll sound a bit repetitive if I say the reasons why I think this is the best one! It's a mixture of brutality, atmospheres and many many solos, turning all the compostions very dynamic!!! This album was a step forward into the career of this band...

it's by J. Carnières (i don't know who he was)
J. Carnières was born in 1585 and he's dead in 1641 so maybe when he wrote his diary, a poem or an other thing he has wrote this text

perhaps that Nornagest was interested in J Carnières and that could be how he discovered this story
