I think I know what he means: that Nornagest is a guitarist like Euronymous who represents what Black metal means, that's true that Nornagest got a special charisma and his mentality is extremely "pure"!
In a way you can compare him to Euronymous yes.

Enthroned remains at the top of the genre in my opinion, just the idea I had of someone faded away...

Arrseth from what I've read all these years was just shock value for the "spirit" of black metal's second wave with his statements and comments about communism,and a few other extreme tactics....weather thats true or not,I don't know...still I always liked his music. I first heard of "Mayhem's name" through metal magazines back in the late 80's,but never heard thier music(which would of been Deathcrush at that time)or saw pictures of them.Then in 93' when the death of Euronymous hit the metal news,then I heard De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas in late 94',early 95' somewhere in there.

I never knew there was a scene going on in Norway untill 1995 as I live in Seattle Wash,U.S.A. and way over here,it was very scarce to find new metal bands.......Then I heard Darkthrone,Emperor.ect...ect....then in 96' heard ENTHRONED!!!! Same goes with "NORNAGEST"....I don't know him personally,but I sure as hell like his music/guitar riffs and solos. Enthroned are my favorite black metal band for 11 years now!!!!
