LYBH was pretty average. I'm all for experimentation and such, but I think he needs to stick with what he's good at a bit more.
Not as excited about this as I would have been a while ago, but still looking forward to seeing what he comes up with. At least I know if I don't dig it, I won't be expected to pay for it |

Finishing first listen. I really like it. As the bandcamp tags indicate, it's definitely a rock/ambient influenced album. Sure I like Beacons more but also appreciate that it's not Beacons 2.

Just finished the first listen through and my initial inclinations are to give this album somewhere around a 7/10. I like that it's not Beacons 2, but throughout the first listen I caught myself waiting for the "oh shit" moment. It came here and there, especially in parts of Seattle and Making Will Mad, but on the whole the album seems a bit watered down. That's probably a bad way to put it. And I have only listened to it once. I'm predicting that I'll like it more in subsequent listens, which is per usual for albums nowadays.
Another thing, did anyone else get an 8th track named "Cloud-hidden, Whereabouts Unknown"? I'm asking because it's not on the track listing. I paid the man $10 when I named my price on bandcamp, so I'm thinking that that's the only thing that would've given me an extra bonus song, if that's even what it is. It's awesome by the way. Sweet LYBH type acoustic stuff. The album art is pretty cool too. However, I can't bring myself to replace the 777 - The Desanctification artwork from my desktop background. Oh yea, one more thing. Who the fuck is this Adam Castle guy who, according to the bandcamp page, is credited with co-writing Fade with Ben? I wonder how much he actually contributed to the album. Whoever he is, I don't trust him. |

I put in 0 is the amount because I downloaded it on my phone at work but I also got that track too.
Album fucking rules, on my 3rd listen now. Seattle and Our Crazy Night are definitely the stand out tracks for me. I really like From the Balcony too. |

Sick! Definitely has that Siamese Dream tinge he was talking about. If I'm not mistake, he's playing his drum parts now too? Or maybe that's who Adam Castle is.
