This. Try to scream and its like I am barely wheezing under my breath. It's a horrible feeling.

I haven't read a lot about Lucid dreaming, it's really just recognizing you are sleeping and tricking your brain into not waking up. I constantly turn light switches on and off to condition myself. That seems to be the most reliable way to tell if I am dreaming or not.

I've had what I THINK are out of body experiences, but I'm unsure. I was under the influence of a hallucinogens and practicing rituals. I sound stupid I'm sure so I won't go into detail. I've also had this buzzing feeling coming from chakras that is a similar feeling to being on molly. I can't wrap my head around most of the things I have seen or experienced and like someone else said, incredibly difficult to put into words.

Being merely aware that you're dreaming is a state of semi-lucidity. The dreamer usually either forgets so, or wakes up. Pretty common shit bro.

That's my point, it wasn't a completely lucid dream because he was obviously aware but still had no control over the dream.

A few weeks ago, I had this dream where I was walking in my house and immediately after I turned the corner in the hallway, a black shadow leaped onto me. It pushed me to the bathroom ground, where it was pitch black, and was scratching my chest while laughing maniacally. That was the closest to a lucid dream I've had and was terrifying as fuck.

I can't say the only lucid dreams I've had are about pills. I'm addicted to pain killers pretty badly.. maybe my pill dreams are 'regular', but they're still lucid

Oneirology fascinates me. I haven't fully committed to lucid dreaming since I misplaced my dream journal. Many of my standard dreams involve apocalyptic scenarios. I've died very scary and brutal deaths many times over

Keeping a dream journal is the hardest step for me. When I wake up I pretty much either have to get up and go to work, or just wanna fall straight back asleep if it's the weekend. Making time to write a full account of my dreams doesn't seem to fit into either scenario. Did you find it difficult?

Very much so, which is why I've been reluctant to start again. There's a window of about a minute after I wake to take shit down before its completely forgotten, and doing anything at all in that timeframe is difficult, let alone writing down what appears to be complete nonsense. Of course, its not nonsense at all, but deciphering certainly is hard. Freud's 'Interpretations....' is essential reading for those interested in the subject.

edit: incidentally/strangely enough, I recall being able to lucid dream very easily when I was on a particular medication before, ill try to remember what it was

I've read half of it and it was pretty interesting but I tend to prefer reading Jung. He differes from Freud on some key elements which I think contributed to the breakdown of their relationship.
