South Carolina-based extreme technical death metallers NILE will release their seventh full-length album, "At The Gate Of Sethu", on July 3 via Nuclear Blast Records. The follow-up to 2009's "Those Whom The Gods Detest" was once again produced and mixed by Neil Kernon, who has previously worked with NEVERMORE, CANNIBAL CORPSE, QUEENSRŸCHE and DEICIDE, among many others.

Neil, how would you compare the new album's production to the last 3?

basically yes, and i've seen plenty of technical, wall of noise bands live that sounded way better than nile... origin immediately comes to mind.

Hmm, all in all I'd say it's more savage and in your face than earlier records.
There are, of course, areas with plenty of Nile atmospheres and cinematics, but for the most part I'd say that this album has lots of nasty attitude and plenty of weirdness. |

Well, not really 3 years - the last one was released in late 2009.

Neil just wanted to say your work on Sulaco's Build & Burn was great. It is an absolutely amazing album on-top of that. Criminally overlooked by many I fear.
Can't wait to hear what you've done with the latest Nile album. |

Even if a band is a little sloppier live than what they put on the record, that doesn't change anything for me. If a bad live performance changes your opinion on the studio music itself, that makes me think that you only liked the albums because of the idea that the band could play such challenging material, rather than just liking the sound of it. |

Not sure when a track will be put up, but probably won't be too long.

CD cover is sick. I know it's shallow but I'm always way more excited for a CD if it has a good cover.
