I'm sure it will be solid, but hopefully it will be a great album. If it makes any sense, I was a little more apprehensive than excited by the statements about Kollias's drumming blowing people's minds this time around. Because if anything has been lacking on the last couple, it hasn't been drumming chops.

I agree that Ithyphallic was missing something, but their last album destroyed. Production was beefy and there are some great songs on it.

Ithyphallic was one of the weirdest albums for me. It just was lacking a certain something that I can't explain. Like if I tried to give a review of the album it would sound like it had all kinds of features I love but it just didn't work.

But TWtGD was fucking killer and more than made up for it.

Love all Nile albums and I'm sure this one will be excellent too, dunno why people don't dig Ithyphallic, the penis lyrics are hilarious. Gotta love when people chant this at gigs "Annoint my Phallus with the blood of the fallen"

Interesting enough i couldn't stand Ithyphallic when i first heard it. I only got into during the last few months. I can really dig the crazy epic feeling of it. Not trying to say i like it more than the first classics, but its still enjoyable.

+1 on all counts, I thought Ithyphallic was a breath of fresh air in a way since it was pretty different from their other albums and a little more explorative while clearly still belonging to the Nile aesthetic.

Never put out filler...Best consistant brutal deathmetal band....Now SOP is in another level... But straight forward deathmetal this band has never put out a shitty record...Great live band, and can make records that sound great... Met all the guys 2 yrs ago great ppl dedicated as hell..
