East Side Of Austin

So I've noticed some of these venues are on the east side, the farthest east I've gone to is Scoot Inn, any good bars, food trucks/restaurants, cool/weird shit I should check out nearby?

I don't think there's too much going on on the East side, cept the Broken Neck show, probably some parties/house shows, and I think one show at Emo's East, and possibly some of the smaller shows, the main metal/punk shows are all downtown around 6th street still as they've been in the past years. I'll probably be mostly back and forth between the Red 7 and the Mohawk, Only stuff I see myself going out east for is for the Broken Neck shows and maybe a house show. I know there's taco trucks, but for food and attractions, I'm pretty sure there's not much out there, it's mostly residential and kind of ghetto IIRC. A lot of my favourite ATX food is off or on Guadalupe, not much goes on on the eastside, although that does seem to be where most of the punks live.

I've been to Broken Neck before, definitely down to go there again.
