Just saw them play tonight, they were really tight. Got there late and only caught the last 2 songs. Not that big of a deal considering I'll be seeing them again in 2 weeks. One was a new one which was pretty sick and they closed with Misconception which was amazing. New CD is kinda thin sounding, No ? I've only listened to the full thing about 3 times. It just doesn't seem/feel as memorable as the last 2.

Big disappointment, not memorable at all and holy fucking shit that mix is just flat-out bad.

TVC > Paradogma > Pageantry for Martyrs > Disturbance > Sedition for me.

I think the musicians playing on this album are amazing, but I definitely miss the beefiness of the production on TVC. Paradogma I also feel was more epic of an album on the whole.

The guitars are muddy and murky for the most part, some of the riffs get lost in the mix. Drums/vocals absolutely dominate. Didn't call it terrible but imo it is not a good mix at all. Paradogma is better and even that was a little murky in terms of the guitars. Haven't listened to it in flac on my main/critical system yet, though.

I've only listened to this once, but I'm not into it. It just doesn't have the attack that the last two do. IIRC the fills aren't as fun, either. I'll play it again.

Well, I listened to this with headphones today and found the guitars amply clear to discern everything they were doing, as well as having decent presence and not being drowned out by vocals or drums. It's not very interesting music, but there are quite a few ass-kicking parts throughout the album.

I like this more and more. Way better than Paradogma and equally as good as TVC.

This was a crapload better than I was expecting. Really enjoyed my listen this morning, hoping it has some staying power. We'll see.

I like this better than the new Gorod, personally.

This. I can't swallow the Gorod album too much happy riffing.

Was listening to the new Gorod on the way home - i dont mind the happy riffing, it just flat out isn't as good as their earlier stuff. Preferred them when they were less tech and more groovy.

If one finds this kind of stuff boring, I don't see how TVC is any different.
