Well obviously I'm not going to be dropping 5k on a guitar. It's just sick because of the 29" scale and I've always preferred 1 pickup.

I would never pay that much for that either. Though in fairness, it's built in the sugi plant (the best japanese quality money can buy, as good if no even better than the old j-custom line) and features a 30" scale. Props to Ibanez for having the balls to do something so "niche" as a production model for those who want it.

Why not just use a bass guitar. That's what the shit sounds like.

That's about my only option besides a custom for a scale longer than 27". I just don't like the idea of dropping $700 on a guitar that I haven't been able to play. Also wish they had more passive-routed models.

unless you wanted 7 or more strings, you can get a strat and have a 29.25" scale conversion neck made from warmoth for about $300 without having to route or modify anything too big on the strat body.

well with any non-american, japanese, canadian or english guitar, (i believe agiles are korean made), the QC is very hit or miss... its likely that your friend got a well made guitar...

i have an RG7321 that plays very nicely and the quality is pretty good, but every other one ive ever played has really let me down, which tells me that i got lucky and ended up with nice one...

japanese, canadian, american and english guitars just have better QC, so overall, your more likely to end up with a nice guitar than a dud... korean, chinese and indonesian guitars tend to be more of a miss than a hit... but just like everything else, there are always exceptions

I wanted to get a bass guitar from a company that makes basses one octave lower than standard then use 6 string basses for guitars. it would be the heaviest band on earth! too bad I can't find the website anymore

We're talking 8 strings. Idk, I'll probably just say fuck it and start saving up for the new passive-routed RG2228.

Seriously "Nothing" is the only thing i need when i want to listen to Meshuggah. So heavy, hypnotic and immersive. Fuck. I tried their other records and while good, or even amazing, they dont give me such cool vibes.

good for you but i never bothered with that. i don't support the idea that classic records can be improved.

its all about the original. after starting out with the gold album, the blue remaster just feels like it has no balls.

Damn right, never liked the reissue. The original version is way better in every way. Especially in terms of the guitar tone.

the reissue fixed the guitars, they sound fatter too, but messed pretty bad with the drums. not worth it.

Love the reissue (the way the band intended it to sound) a lot more now. I like going back and forth between the two depending on the mood I'm in. Each of them sound like their respective colors.

Plus "Nebulous" sounds so much heavier when played slower.
