What do you guys look forward to most in the year of apocalypse?

Off the top of my head: Deeds of Flesh, Nile, Ahab, Defeated Sanity, Unmerciful, Suffocation, Psycroptic, Cannibal Corpse,Triptykon..... and probably many more.

any official news regarding the new Gorguts? have they signed with a label? artwork? etc. I can't find anything other than that old press release that doesn't really tell you anything.

Gorguts are on Century Media, Luc signed with them a while back..like around FWTH I think. The album isn't finished, I think musically it is but the vocals aren't done. Flayed knows more but I think the summary of it is Luc recorded without CM's approval or go-ahead and its on hold now as they try to work that out.

Someone who knows the band, can't say who but all I can say is Flayed confirmed everything I've heard in the other Gorguts thread and it seems like hes getting info probably direct from the band or someone real close.

It may not be OFFICIAL but its the truth. Gorguts aren't going to publicly badmouth or expose the record label they're trying to get to re-pay them for recording an album that is on hold until the label says its okay to release.

Take it as you will but it is the truth unfortunately. I want this album out as much as the next person, the new stuff sounded sooo good at MDF. Its not fair that this album is in limbo.

I wasn't concerned with that part because I haven't seen any evidence that they actually even signed a deal in the first place. All of that insider info just raises more speculation and is usually the basis of rumors, but I'll take your word for it.
