I know these are a lot but it's tough narrowing it down... there's a few more still to be released though, like the new Tenhi and Vektor.

My 2011 favorites at the moment. Inquisition, Absu and more could easily end up taking it, in my opinion. The Gates of Slumber, Ulcerate, Condemned, haven't even heard the new Esoteric yet...

I personally think that The Prodigal Empire was a huge let-down. Couldn't get into one single song. Their debut EP was awesome /so much better IMO.

Really? I thought the EP was solid, but enjoyed the album more. Different strokes, I guess!

I'm going to post this again just because the artwork is so ridiculously bad for such a great album... I'm sure it's been overlooked so if you like doom this album takes you through every style and blends it really well without having a copy/paste feel. Really fun album
