No word ive heard but one of the guys from Pallbearer said there would have to be alot of changes in order for them to play again, and that the band treatment for them and others was less than desirable. Brooklyn Vegan said there were still some in SA at the time they'd posted the fest pics, but I've heard no complaints anywhere of it. The next fest is being planned for Feb 2013

yea first of all, there's no way he should have another ROD since no bands would even show up. and second of all, I want the hot texas sun of summer so i can actually USE that hotel pool yo!

His plan is to recuperate in 2012 and said himself there will definitely be NO fest, and that so far no bands have been contacted. IF he does it, it'll be in Feb 2013 because he said that there won't be the worry of people having to miss the fest because of finals, there's no holiday travel in Feb (probably makes it more expensive to fly in december), and that it's still far enough away from the big fest like MDF, SXSW, and CIT.

My guess is he shoots for a smaller fest. But bands are going to be very wary of wanting to book with him i imagine. The set times for even the amount of bands that were left took forever each day and the original stocked lineup probably would have had so many bands they'd either have had to make it last a week or each band play 15 minutes

I don't think that CIT would be a big challenge for them either. Minus a couple bands off the ROD lineup that CIT might book, the only band most punks probably cared for at ROD was Plutocracy and they canceled. I'd have my eyes on MDF booking bands that dropped this year for 2013 and not worry about the other two fest.

Haha don't forget Scion usually is in March, and I won't be surprised if the next installation is held in the next few years in Dallas or Houston, Texas since that fest usually pops up in cities with urban sprawls and no public transit ie; Atlanta, Pomona.

Oh and this guy already tarnished himself. Lack of honesty, communication FTMFL.

Well, Jack Koshik was well known to be a horrible organizer/promoter for years and still he managed to convince bands to book with him.. so apparently this Daniel Serna guy won't have any trouble convincing bands to book with him, especially if bands are desperate to play here in America.
