last album was meh, but the stuff that came before was pretty great. I'd say they're more of a grindcore band than a black metal band though, but they can and have blurred the line between the two.

anaal natrakh is my favourite band
i absolutely loved in the constellation and also pretty much all the stuff that came before
for my taste, they always delivered

Best album would be The Codex Necro with Domine Non Es Dignus coming in Second.

They definitely blur the lines between sub-genres that's for sure. That said, I don't think Black Metal is a proper tag though their earlier stuff does have elements of it of course. Very monotonous sounding but very violent and scary with each further step they take. Definitely akin to the experience of say, witnessing one of your buddies profusely vomiting after a night of hard partying, hahahaha..

Haven't heard the new album that much, but it gives me the impression that these guys stagnated :/. Hope I'm wrong, gonna give them a few chances.
