Look for it next year. It was a spring seasonal, so any you find now aren't going to be nearly as hoppy and in your face as they were if you got them when they first released.

Interesting stuff, never had this style before.

But the reason I'm bringing it up: the bottle specifically says to use a snifter instead of a pint glass. I always use a snifter for Belgian style beers, but I had never actually done an A-B comparison. I kind of thought it might be semi-BS beer snob stuff, very subtle differences.

I was super surprised how dramatic the difference was!

That was my first thought too, but the tomatos bouncing on the tongue was just too cute an image to stay mad about it.

I had a chicken mole burrito with a glass of water last night. Now THAT'S a fucking pairing.

Yeah, Redemption is killer. I really found the mouthfeel quite unique. And yes, nothing beats a tulip glass.

First time I've had this since year. Wonderful, definitely one of my favorite IPAs ever. Really unique. The light body really show cases the hops wonderfully. Extremely dry which is incredibly refreshing with a bitterness that lingers for years.

Green Flash Double Stout

I wasn't sure how this was going to turn out, but I'm certainly glad I bought a pack of this. It's very creamy with a strong chocolate/coffee taste (not entirely sure if one or the either). Sort of reminds me of Old Rasputin except more....creamy-er?

Haven't had this one, but Old Rasputin is great. Been a long time since I've had an imperial stout.

very, very good. fruity but not too fruity. bitter but not too bitter. very pretty color too if you care about that sorta thing

Yep good stuff, definitely prefer Rasputin though. This one suffers from a bit of soy sauce-itus.

Delirium Nocturnum

Peculiar little one. It's sort of like mixing cherries, some other fruit, and a small chunk of the Earth. It's quite good, but not fully worth the ~$6-7 price tag.

Now that you say that, I can see the connection with the soy sauce pairing with the Double Stout. And yes, I agree that Old Rasputin is better.

Three Floyds Apocalypse Cow

Similar to Dreadnaught, Apocalypse Cow has a nice hoppy taste without it being too overbearing. But, unlike the Dreadnaught, this beer has a more malty texture to it. It blends the taste of the hops with a generous amount of citrus sprinkled in. Overall, I'd say it's pretty delicious. Not the best to come out of Three Floyds, but still quite good.

been reading about that beer, its a "Milk" IPA due to the inclusion of lactose sugar in mash. Sounds pretty interesting.
