For some reason, Gride was one of the first grind bands I discovered. They are oddly really popular amongst grinders in this city, like everyone was "LISTEN TO GRIDE" as soon as I expressed some interest in the genre. It took me a while to figure out that they aren't as popular everywhere else as they are here. When they played here, they played to well over 100 people, and aside from MDF it was their biggest show of the tour.

Gride. Lycanthrophy, Saywhy?, !T.O.O.H.!, Ingrowing, Malignant Tumour, Ahumado Granujo all rule hard!

You left out Rabies and Grex!

While the CZ does have a lot of great mental bands, I think Poland's grind scene is sorely overlooked tbh. Dead Infection, Suffering Mind, Epitome, Antigama, Wojtyła, Squash Bowels, Neuropathia, Nuclear Vomit, Toxic Bonkers (more death/grind?)....

Maybe it's me being suitably retarded as usual, but I just don't see Polish grind bands getting anywhere near as much exposure as they would if they were from central/Western Europe, with the exception of perhaps Squash Bowels signing to Willowtip a couple of years back.
Suffering Mind seem to be on the ascendancy judging by the number of festivals they're starting to get added to in quick succession.

Like I say, maybe it's just me. It only seems to be the kind of crusty folks that attend OEF or another grind-flavoured festival religiously that appreciate the depth of quality there.

I wouldn't call it good taste, I'm just a grind junkie. I love the whole umbrella of "extreme" music, but grind is somewhat my scene. I also don't go apeshit for each of those bands, I personally think Dead Infection and Suffering Minds smoke the rest, Antigama and Squash Bowels are pretty good too though.

Although this isn't all grind. it all belongs much more here than DM discussion, Stormcrow rules hard on both of these, in addition to it being my favorite stuff from both Mass Grave and Sanctum:

Antigama add some really interesting ideas to the grind genre! Warning was still good but, Discomfort and Resonance are incredible albums... A perfect blend of weird moments, catchy grooves and solid grind!

I would have included Dead Infection but personally I reckon they've gone down hill substantially in the last few years. 'Corpses Of The Universe' was just plain awful...

I normally jam Brain Corrosion. The Regurgitate split is killer on both sides. Its like both bands take on a noisegrind evolution.

oh definately. Brain Corrosion is one of my all-time favourite grind albums for sure.
Possibly one of the reasons I was so disappointed with Corpses Of The Universe I guess.

Yeah I think that's it. CotU is not that bad, it just add up to the awesomeness of Brain Corrosion. Probably my favorite Gore vocals of all time, thats for sure. Also the mix on Brain Corrosion is rather dynamic and neat for what it is.

I loooove Antigama, esp. Resonance. I felt bad while they played at MDF because soo many people were outside watching (I think?) D666 or Aura Noir?

SB are great but definitely underrated. Willowtip always has a good selection of grind on there. Jason knows what he's doing.
