Lord Worm Black Metal Project
Wasn't Lord Worm supposed to be in a raw BM band? And wasn't he also supposed to do guest vocals for some Irish grind band ages ago? Anybody know anything about that?

Didn't know about the grind-cameo... but I really hope he does his BM project. Yeah, Lord Worm struggled to get the Will Rahmer-type sewage lows of "NSV" when he came back, but he was great for insane, gibbering screams. I think he'd make a unique, eccentric black metal vocalist ala Atilla.
Also recall an old interview that the likes of Deathspell Omega and Shining were the kinda metal he's into now. PS Stupefaction: even though I've disagreed with some of your posts, your "WIN" factor remains high due to Tom Servo's visage. Awesome. |

AND there's quite a pool of choice collaborators for black metal in Canada that LW could draw from... check out 2007's "Various Artists (Canada) - Northern Black Metal" compilation.

He loves evil/dark/suicidal black metal. Big fan of Shining etc... I talked with him for like an hour after OWN came out. Really nice guy.

For some reason, some spoken parts in Deathspell Omega songs remind me of Lord Worm. 1:05 into Chaining the Katechon sounds similar to his voice, in my opinion.

i know you guys love lord worm, but you need to get it out of your head that he has any interest in doing music again. he wouldn't have done once was not or cryptopsy again if it wasnt for money, and there is no money in underground black metal, and like it or not, his voice is shot. plus he's like 1000 years old.

FINALLY.
An Samael/Aborym-like assault graced by Lord Worm? Um, *Fuck Yes.* ![]() His statement is drily demented & humorous... great to see he is idiosyncratic as ever. I wish him the Very Best with this new project which definitely seems closer to his jetblack heart. |
