Viewing this thread may cause appetite changes and mild arousal. I just got done eating a big ham with a bunch of side dishes and I want a burger with jalapenos now. FFFFFUUUUUUUU

When I lived in L.A. it was all about Fatburger. Name says it all. Table full of condiments to abuse. Haven't found anything in L.V. as good.

Also a Fatburger down on the strip next to the Viper/Ferarri/Lambo rental place. And no, Fatburger doesnt even come close to In n out. I've eaten Fatburger half a dozen times and most of those times its fucked up and over cooked and just terrible. Even when they get it right, its still just another overpriced average burger with a mountain of lettuce piled high.

Hmm, does anyone else enjoy burgers with less overall beef? If the slab of beef is too thick, the burger tends to be dominated by that flavor, to the detriment of the rest of them. (The various toppings, sauces/spreads, and bun) To me the best burgers are balanced. Too much beef is bland.
Am I alone on this? |

This thread is making me so FUCKING hungry. Faggots.
And it's breakfast time now. That being said, yes, the burger must be holdable. Eating a burger with a fork and knife is the biggest faux pas ever. Big Mac may be a piece of relatively gross plastic, but it still has a place in my heart for just being an affordable lump of shit I can shovel into my mouth with about 2 seconds prior notice. ![]() Hails. There's actually a pretty new small burger joint near my place that makes an immense homemade beef patty. And make your own toppings and all that shit...MUST go soon. |

I never had my first BigMac until I was like 19 years old. No idea how I never tried one before that. It's alright though for a fast food burger. Best of cheap fast food is Wendy's classic double or those quad stacks from BK.

I love myself a good burger from an American Diner sort of restaurant... we don't have the the real good shit here I guess, but this:
Mc Donalds Cheeseburger! This is the epitome of burger-culture. It is just perfect in it's composition, simple, but effective. It's like a union, like every condiment is only there for a greater cause, while many burgers have that feel like "Oh, now I'm tasting the onion, ahhhh, theres the pickle, meh a bit too much meat on this part, now that I've eaten two thirds of it". |

![]() Good point by the way, I can definetly relate. If you ever go to Red Robin though, try that burger I mentioned. Great flavor even though it has a big patty. edit: Oh, Hi Naitsabes Last edited by Javi; 07-03-2010 at 12:50 AM.. |

I have to echo the two dudes who said Five Guys. I mean, I always liked the fakeness of McDonalds or Burger King, but my fave burger was always homemade with mayo and lettuce and cheese and jalapenos and salsa and chargrilled homemade burger patties... I never thought it'd get better than homemade.
But somehow....SOMEhow.... Five Guys is by miles the best burger i've ever tasted. A burger is so simple. There shouldn't be a gulf between the best burger you've ever had and the NEXT best burger you've ever had. But Five Guys. Man. That shit's dope. |
