It's all relative. As with most countries there's a lot of shit food and a lot of good food in England, especially London. It's one of the benefits of the multi-culturalism.

Ok so I just ate this and it was so fucking good that I am going to write the recipe (so stoned right now lol). so listen well
I took this picture really fast cause I wanted to eat it btw kind of blurry. I like my steaks rare/medium rare so mine is quite pink. ![]() so this is a Texas steak melt and here's how I did it : Grab a decently sized pan, cause you'll need to cook the steak, eggs, tomato and onions on it. put a bit of butter in the pan and a bit of oil (I used almond oil in this case) and set heat on medium/high, you can also choose to just use butter or oil but I wanted to experiment a bit and did half and half. Just swirl the pan around until the oil/butter covers the whole pan. Put steak onto pan. Then grab an onion and a tomato and a cut a nice slice of each, and leave them on a plate. Now flip the steak over, put some pepper and some salt on it, add some seasoning if you dig it (I put some minced onions on mine, being a texas melt nd all). Now grab some quality beer or some red wine (I used sweetwater 420 for this) and splash it onto the steak. Back up cause it's gonna sputter a bit. Now crack two eggs and put them in the pan. Flip over the burger from time to time in between steps. Make sure to leave a bit of space on the pan so push the egg white back a bit. Then put your slice of onion and tomato onto the pan in the open space. Add salt and pepper. Make slits into the egg whites when they're cooking to spread out the uncooked egg white. Then grab two bread toasts or two buns if you wanna make a legit burger and toast that shit. Then grab a slice or two of your preferred type of cheese, mine being swiss, and put it on top of the cooking steak. Flip over the onion and tomato slices. Then flip the burger so that the cheese is directly on the pan and melt the cheese (not too much !) and flip the burger back over. Once the burger is cooked to your liking (I like mine rare/medium rare) as well as the eggs (I like mine sunny side up) turn off the stove and put the tomato, onion, burger, melted cheese and egg into the toasted bread. Then cut the whole thing in two triangle halves to give it that texas melt style. Enjoy with whatever beer/wine you used to cook the steak with. |

So is this a beef steak or minced beef?
LoL at butter and oil. This is the kind of stuff you would only do when drunk/stoned. |

for me it was minced beef that I made into a huge patty. and yeah I usually just use butter for eggs and steak but lately i've been cooking tons of chicken with oil and white wine and it tastes awesome so i felt like experimenting.

I think among popular chains it's either Five Guys or Burger King for me. BK mixes it up pretty often unlike McDonalds or maybe Wendy's. It's weird saying "I love Five Guys" in public without having to explain the context. Actually, there's this bar around Soho or some place where they have Belgian beers and their mini-burgers are awesome! I wanna go there nao.

So thereīs a little story behind my next post. McDonalds germany had an online voting for five burgers. this one:
had therefore been on offer at McDonalds for a week or so. I really liked that burger, so I recreated it. I even mailed the inventor for the sauce recipe.Ingredients are: pretzel roll, cheddar cheese, iceberg salad, red onions, beef patty, pepper sour cream, cooked ham (originally also hard cheese, I didnīt taste that in the mcdonalds version so I left it out). my burger was really close to the mc donalds burger. the biggest problem was the equal amounts of ingredients. mc donalds nailed that way better. It might not be for the american taste and Iīve heard countless people being surprised that this mixture works but it does. Really good. ![]() ![]() |
