Not too much that sounds even similar to them really. I can only think of Junius which has a similar vibe but they are more upbeat and blatantly post-metal/rock in their instrumentation. They do have a similar sort of ghostly vibe, particularly in the vocal timbre IMO.
Also, pretty unrelated but by some random synaptic activity ADFI also remind me of Wovenhand. Pretty different, more 'country' but still has a sort of eerie vocal timbre as well. His instrumentation is also lush and evocative. Everyone should check him out regardless: |

I just realised a few days ago that Bloc weekend is taking place in London on the 6th/7th of July. So many phenomenal electronic artists etc. If I had known earlier I could have booked train tickets down and back for only like £60. But now train tickets are £130ish. FUCK. For once, I have the time. But ££££ is the ultimate cockblock. |

ah.. i remember dl'ing their album 'cause some idiot labelled it as "post-black metal" (or something along those lines) on a page where i regularly check for leaks. was kinda disappointed back then, but now it sounds like it should be right up my alley. thanks for the reminder :)

Holy shit, thaumo contributing. I'm going to retire whilst the going is still good.
My plan for life is to hopefully see my most favourite artists before I start working fulltime, and then work my ass off to establish some seniority. After which I can then take some more time to see more artists. The difficult part is catching artists before they quit at music. Fortunate enough to have caught ISIS, for example, before they broke up. Fingers crossed. Also, now playing Eskju Divine (thanks Odium). Finally found a FLAC of their latest album, enjoying it quite a lot. Very Khoma-esque. The vocal melody in this song has been stuck in my head for ages. |

I think we could also say thanks to De bro, who was first to mention them. And then all the circle jerking has begun. Thanks De bro.

the usual suspects OST surprisingly very moody and haunting
DAT CELLO sop-incurso i want to stop listening to this album so i can move on to something else but i still have an infatuation with this brilliant piece of music. i read a review that said this album was like none so vile meets a shostakovich suite- i suppose that is a fair assessment |
