At first I didn't know what to think of this album as a whole, but now I fucking love it. It's a step up from Xenosapien (which I do like) but it's no Lucid Interval. I think I like it as much as Anomalies. It's one of my favorite releases of the year.

I was listening to it on my way to work and I can I could like it as much as Lucid or Exploiting. There isn't really a weak song (if you don't count the songs that are less than a minute long) and the riffs are really fucking catchy. And the bass is fantastic. I agree it seems safer than their earlier albums, but it's still obviously Cephalic Carnage.

Agreed 110% Misled By Certainty is fucking awesome, as good if not better than Lucid/Exploiting but for different reasons. I find it's still got some of that weirdness to it but now it's all transitioned so effortlessly. I can't believe some of the tones these guys manage to fit into songs... very twisted and original yet somehow sounds like it was meant to be there, just listen to Ohrwurm and Dimensional Modulation Transmography. Lesser bands just can't pull this shit off convincingly. Every track on the album is a winner and it all just flows so well.

As for what I'm listening to a lot lately:

Every time I listen to this album again it's like a sledgehammer to the face. I always forget how fucking amazing and timeless this album is. One of the best tech/brutal death albums ever.

It's actually kind of similar to Ulcerate's EiF (minus the slow parts and atmospheric breaks). Every track just seethes a dark menacing feel/atmosphere. Hard to believe this came out 8 fucking years ago!

Anyone who hasn't listened to it should drop whatever they're doing right now and go download/buy it, but I'd imagine most here already know about it.

My first real introduction to the band and i am very pleased. This album is crushing and groove filled but has so much catchiness and atmosphere. Im normally not to into bands like this, I guess im just still caught up on old Sabbath to really appreciate the bands that worship them.

I have a strong feeling that this album will get a ton of spins in the future. And highly suggest anyone who hasn't heard this album or band to definitely start with this album

Myrkskog - Superior Massacre. Featuring Destructhor and Secthdamon of Zyklon (Myrkskog was around first though).
