I'm kinda mad Cronenberg's new "A Dangerous Method" flew under the radar so badly. It truly is fucking excellent. I could watch Fassbender and Mortensen all day. So fucking good. Kneightley was also great.

holy shit this was on the 4th page... anyway:
Chroncle; pretty entertaining action/sf flick on a budget. a bit predictable but it was well directed, solid acting all thing considered, and the writing didn't want me to kill myself. the SFX could've been muuuuuuuch better, but considering the budget.. this turned out more than well ![]() 12 Angry Men; absolutely fantastic. a classic for a reason ![]() The Raid; really great action/martial arts flick; directing/camera work is overall pretty solid although it could've used a bit less shaky cam. coreography was more than decent: solid/burtal enough without delving into ballet territory :) although the last 5-10mins were kinda crhing.worthy ![]() headhunters: excellent thriller that gets the pacing just about right until the last 15-20mins or so where it gets almost borderline hollywoodian |

well said... ?
A few days old but what's the buzz on the new Bond film; Skyfall? New trailer came out the other day. Looks sick, can't wait. Casino Royal has ignited my interest in Bond films. |

Saw this the other day. A old Hitchcock one from his pre-America days. Quite enjoyable, and pretty funny (in that old british humour sense, which is fine by me). Lots of subtle, underlying political statements as well. |

![]() Lockout ... not as bad as I thought it'd be. It's like Escape From NY in space with a cocky Guy Pierce, his character's got the best punchlines in the movie. Casual watch, there's a bad CG scene in the beginning but I guess it adds to the movie's charm. 6.5/10. |

Just watched that tonight as well. The best part about the movie was Snow's humor... that beginning scene was funny as shit. The bad dudes were pretty solid/creepy as well. Entertaining flick.

Just watched the new Batman. Lame as fuck. Plus I don't think I can take Michael Caine seriously again after seeing the most recent season of Ugly Americans.

The Man from Nowhere
![]() Holy shit. Everyone needs to see this movie. I encourage everyone to not see the trailer either...I went into the movie completely blind (not having seen the trailer) and had no idea what to expect and was completely blown away. Great movie. |

seen this one a couple of months ago (and mentioned it here) and can get behind the rec. it's like a better Taken/Man on Fire :). while we're on the topic of great korean revenge/action thriller movies, be sure to see: Oldboy (duh), and the other 2 in Park's revenge trilogy, then I Saw the Devil (my personal favourite in the genre), The Chaser, A Bittersweet Life and Memories of Murder. i've also heard good things about Bedevilled but i haven't seen it yet

Shit movie. Really predictable and cliché ridden too so I don't know what not watching the trailer would do to make it any better.

watched the raid: redemption
-story line was meh but it didn't matter because i watched it for the fight scenes which did not disappoint. good movie to slam some beers and watch with friends. 7/10 fucking skulls watched 3:10 to yuma -great pacing, perfect acting and writing right up until the end. i thought the director just tried to do too much with the ending. oh, and russell crowe was a great villian. almost virtuosity level good =) 8.5/10 fucking skulls watched dear go no -fucking garbage. not a huge fan of grindhouse but this piqued my interest because the synopsis mentioned bigfoot and the reviews talked about the sheer amount of boobs in it. not a single part was even funny because every line was so badly delivered. 1/10 fucking skulls. (one skull just for bigfoot slapping multiple ppls heads off) Last edited by cry0fth3carr0ts; 08-13-2012 at 07:20 PM.. |

Expendables 2
Worth it just for the Chuck Norris. Went in with not much expectations, didn't really like the first one, this one was good for what kind of movie it is. |
