loved this, pretty much all you could ask for from a sports comedy; didn't take itself too seriously, low stakes and characters that were easy to like and laugh at. loved The Trailer Park Boys cameos too.

saw this one with some pals of mine a few nights ago.. thought it was 'meh'.. what could have been a solid and unremarkable film fell all too short with not just the shitty ending, but also in how the way the plot was executed. Shame too 'cause it was a cool premise for a flick..

loved how it switched gears.. Goodman stole the show for me..

My fav Kevin Smith movie... but they all suck but this and Clerks..not fan

Now here is a movie with the worst fucking ending ever. Would not recommend in the slightest to anyone. Thought I would give it a chance since it was pretty much the only movie in my house that I hadn't seen. It is my gf's dvd, she's a fag for eeewwwin mcgregor.

Started watching it late before bed and it really grabbed me and I was very interested. Its a psychological thriller and I was digging it. BUT when the ending came I was so pissed off that it negated the entire movie. 0/10 for the retarded ending.

Can't believe it got a wide release in USA..good for them. Probably 10x better then the new Eddie Murphy flick. I predict that he gets convicted of child porn/sex in the next 10 years.

What was so shit about the ending that it pissed you off? - I can't remember the exact ending.
I thought Stay was a goofy movie and I personally wouldn't class it as a thriller.
I also thought the concept of the film was interesting but I didn't think the film its self executed it as well as it could or should have.
there are some really cool stylistic aspects to the film that I liked. I like the opening scene and there are some nice transitions dotted around as well as alot symbolism that I can remember coinciding with the reveal at the end.

What an awesome movie. This guy has to be one of the best villains I've ever seen in a film and I actually didn't recognize that it was the same actor for "Oldboy" since he looks quite a bit younger here.

Everyone should check this film out, it's good fun.

in the end it was just a fucking car crash. Imo that shit was stupid. It just had all this build up and just didn't deliver for me. Just seemed so pointless. To me it just seemed like they just threw that ending in there and just said sure that works. that's just me though.

Ah, well.. the opening scene is a car crash as well.. and then there are momentary cutaways through out the movie showing scenes progressively leading up to that moment so, it's not at all something they just 'threw in'. The concept that I liked about the film was that everything in the story was a figment of Goslings character's imagination in his final moments alive. Or, one could say.. re living an entirely new life in the moments between life and death.
I do think the film lacked alot (as I said earlier) and it's not a film I'd recommend especially considering the potential of the actors involved is so much higher than what amalgamates in this film.
