Finally watched this. What the fuck???

This movie affected me deeply. I couldn't think properly for a few days after I viewed it. Honestly, I never thought this movie was going to desensitize me like it did. Now, everything that's supposed to be so disturbing and shocking fails to affect me. Everything I thought I wouldn't see in a film.. was in this movie. This also went beyond any of the stuff that I've seen in asian cinema. Since I have a family, I wouldn't recommend this film to anyone that has one. That's all I can say..

It is the most extreme movie I have seen. The baby rape scene was pretty rough.

It was actually the other scene, the one that involved anal rape, that disgusted me the most. I wanted to cry. That's how awful it was. It's a downward spiral from that point on. Depressing ending, too.

A Serbian Film is terrible...it's good for a shock and that is about it.

Watched all of these recently...

The Rite

Anthony Hopkins was pretty awesome in this. All in all I wouldn't recommend this to anyone, but it's a good movie if you're bored I guess :P

Been a long time since I've seen this movie (I think I was 8 when it came out) and I forgot how awesome Hugo Weaving is!
And also never realized how many bands have sampled lines from this movie.

I also watched "The Room" recently...that movie was SO BAD that it was GOOD.

I'm undecided on this. I mean I generally liked it but I felt it could have had more pace. Usually movies this long do better to create empathy between audience and characters but it wasn't really working for me. I've got a feeling this might be one of those movies that turns out better on the second viewing.

Hard to describe. Basically it's about some guy (a drummer and well-known author) who is asked by a bunch of retarded and/or disabled people to form a band with them. It starts out really funny but ends up being quite a downer/shocker. It involves heaps of obscene dialogue, substance abuse, sex, violence, a great soundtrack and it actually manages to be strangely beautiful at times. I watched this ("The Fall") yesterday while tripping on psilocybin mushrooms. The little girl is played by an amazing actor, and all the shots were beautifully composed. I was equally awed and teary-eyed with wonder at the girl's predicament.

Would definitely recommend anyone to try those mushrooms.

Fast Five was the latest movie I had watch and it was pretty much interesting to see the come back of Dwayne Johnson. The ending was too great and I like that sound. Fast 6 if released will be more rocking I thought. Lets see that if those guys can do some wonder again.

I know this is going to be nitpicking for most people, but "The Fall" is definitely not a surrealist movie, and "El Topo" is debatably so. I wish there was some loose genre designation for oneiric/dreamlike movies so people wouldn't have to butcher and mangle the meaning of "surrealism" by trying to treat it as a genre or story type.
