Interesting, I'm jamming the new disc and it sounds very solid.
Shame their live doesn't sound like it has the same impact as their recorded shit.

Nah man easy.. maybe it was just my impression. Maybe they changed a bit, evolved who knows. They just struck me as just another post metal band but maybe i was mistaken. It was last year and they played during the day. I though it was solid but couldn't get into it more back then. I'll check the record out.

I saw them several months back. I didn't like it at all. It sounded fairly standard isis/neurosis derived post metal, and the clean vocals seemed really out of tune.

To be fair, I don't really like that genre much unless it's neurosis (who I kind of consider to be their own entity anyway).

they were good live, nice projections and atmosphere but the songs didn't blow me away. it's cool they've improved, i'll give them another try.

I'm kinda 50/50 when I saw them with WITTR and Krallice. My opinion on them might change when I see them with Orphaned Land and Indian next month.

Playing with these guys on Saturday, the album is defintely a grower, does not really impact on first few listens but unravels after several plays. Quite looking forward to catching them with the projections et al

In other news, listening to Times of Grace right now...is there actually anything that comes to the broodiness and twisted cacophony of Belief? Could listen to that track forever, so good.

First experience with this band, quite solid! Few tracks into their newest album, sounds kinda like a mix of Paradise Lost/Neurosis/Isis.

That production is absolutely massive and crushing. Sick shit.
