Watching this right now, episode 5 to come. Holy shit this is fucking great.
Iceman ftw thx for mentioning this. Scenic dramaturgy is up to par with The Wire for sure. Love the subtle humor, that evolves from absurd situations, yet still doesn't interfere with the overall serious scenario. Also, the details! This Simon guy must have quite some concept going on. |

![]() I've just seen the first two episodes now, but I'm already hooked. Think of a British version of Superbad - only as a tv show obviously. I STRONGLY recommend the show to anyone. It's absolutely hilarious. |

Done by Scorsese and some of the writers from the Sopranos. And Omar's in it! Could be good.... |

Show is superb! Everyone should watch this. (Btw. Season 2 episode one, the scene with the fish!!! It's just too good, I was in tears, one of the best comedic scenes ever) |

Let us know what you think. Also, since you apparently have a thing for British comedies. Is there anything you can recommend?

So many classic moments. Too bad there are always only 6 episodes per season. What did you think of the ending? Seemed to me like a regular episode with no closure whatsoever... Loved the third season, though. The testicle incident was hilarious. Looking forward to the movie as well. |

Yeah fucking hilarious show, so good. All are funny as hell, especially Simon and Jay, Will sometimes too but i developed a small amount of hate towards the character, especially in some scenes. The third season was a bit dissapointing, but still a really great show. Its a shame that some really awful shows go on for years and ones like this have a short life.

The ending wasn't really anything special, I didn't even realise that it was basically over. But the general storyline isn't that important so I don't mind.

Nearing the end of Arrested Development. But constantly delaying it cause I just don't want it to be over goddamn I'm a pussy.

You weren't asking me, but: Black Books. Seems pretty "duh" but apparently it's not at all that well-spread. So jus sayin'. |

The Inbetweeners is amusing, but I didn't think it was anything special. It was a bit too "Superbad" for my tastes

The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret
![]() Just finished its first season of 6 episodes, and got picked up for a second of 8. While not anything truly amazing, I feel it got better with every episode. See: "President of Drinks." Also, Will Arnett is pretty great. Plus it has more twists than LOST... |

Black Books is amazing in the top 5 shows for me without a doubt,Spaced would also be up their fantastic show.
The final episode of Inbetweeners was a massive let down for me,but they are meant to be making a movie so that might make up for it. |

Most recently i've been keeping up with Boardwalk Empire and The Walking Dead (even though there is only one episode so far), but on my down time i've been going through all of South Park. I've missed so many season since for awhile i only caught it when it was on tv, but no longer will that be the case.

I'm watching series one of Rome, the HBO drama series. Really good, lots of familiar and great actors! Lots of sex scenes too.
I must be the only guy in the UK not to have checked out The Inbetweeners. I will be watching some stuff soon though. I think Red Dwarf and Bottom, for anyone who isn't familiar, are well worth checking out. Red Dwarf is very witty sci-fi comedy and Bottom is sort of silly slapstick comedy. |

Dito. Scrubs is so overrated.
So I've watched the first and second season of Black Books. There are some godlike gags in it, as well as really childishly stupid and obvious ones. Then there is plenty of just absurd nonsense, it even reminded me of "Little Britain" in parts. The episode with the expensive wines was great, as well as the 88 Degree one. I'm not sure about the acting, it looks really amateurish, but that's probably a kind of style they wanted. I believe that Bernard Black aka. Dylan Morran does by far the best performance though, and it's also the only character that I can sympathize with. All in all I give it 7/10, with a theoretical potential of 8.5/10, but practically there is too much trash in it that kind of ruins the good moments. |
