That spinning backfist was out of desperation. He had already received at least one anchor punch that rung his bell, and he has since stated that he doesn't remember throwing it. Anderson is just that good. It was a great fight.

Be sure to check out Jordan Mein vs. Dan Miller on the undercard.
Mein has some of the best boxing I've seen in mma, lots of bodyshots, good angles, head movement and footwork imo.

yup, glad hendricks won and that he gets his definite titleshot finally, but I see how it could've gone either way. he fought a smart fight, kinda like condit with diaz back then, but it shouldn't be as controversial as some make it up to be tho. anyway I'm a fan of both guys and that was the fotn for sure.

edit: a total snoozefest as expected, but it's hard to hate on gsp when he's such a classy dude.

nothing was gonna live up to the fight that preceded it but i didn't think it was that bad. diaz really can't say shit, i was worried it was gonna be a smother fest but gsp stood with him and gave diaz plenty of chances to make something happen

What an amazing fight. Condit is some kind of war god.

Diaz vs GSP was good stuff, Georges is a complete master of his art. Blame the rule set for the fight being centered around the takedown.
