Maruta

I can't get over how awesome this band is. Been raping the two tracks off "This Comp Kills Fascists" and their full-length In Narcosis into the ground recently....they remind me of some sort of bastard lovechild of Obscura-era Gorguts, Malignancy and Pig Destroyer, with some generic grind tossed into the mix. Dissonant, fast as fuck and tighter than your 12-year-old sister's virgin orifices! FUCKIN' A!!!!

For those that haven't heard this brilliance yet, check http://www.myspace.com/maruta.

In Narcosis is a solid release, looking forward to hearing more from these guys in the future... unless they fold, like most other Willowtip bands.

This band is killer live.

drums are a bit overpowering on this CD. I still dig it though.

Those two tracks from 'this comp kills' are especially obscura-era gorguts-esque. First thing that came to mind when I heard them as well. They definetely slay.

i think its a much bigger malignancy influence than gorguts especially on the comp songs. maruta are good songwriters, those songs are catchy once you get to know them with good transitions and hooks. super good live too.

hell, its been quite awhile since one of our bands broke up too. not since commit suicide i think....who knows though. i guess that could be a good or bad thing depending on your perspective.

That means it's probably quite good. I should give it a listen.

i've been absolutely loving these dudes lately...great fucking grooves and goddamn, those malignancy-esque pinch harmonics all over the place?? fucking killer. even if you hate grind, you should listen to this band.
