Listened to the album couple times now and the vocals are fucking terrible and not growing on me at all, love the music though.

This is so far the album of the year for me without a doubt. The only shit I was excited about this year was Augury and Anata and those are both 09 releases now for sure.

The main complaint I've heard against this are "Oh man the vocals are so horrible that I can't even listen to the music!" And that's a shame, because while he isn't that great of a harsh vocalist, he's certainly no reason not to enjoy the awesomeness that is this album.

To each his own. When its comes to metal vocals i tend to favor guys i can understand the best, not always, but if a vocalist can have alot of power, sound evil, and be understandable then its a win.

This guys not the greatest, but i like the fact he sacrificed some power and harshness for lyrical clarity.

Don't get me wrong, the riffage is amazing, the vocals are shit though. Especially when you're listening to it through nice noise cancelling headphones like I do. I'm just like "Blurgh!"

I was a fool to write this - I take back every word. Great album, I've ordered it.

Cool that he has two right hands.

I didn't really like this, will give it another shot though.

one of my big goals when putting out these discs for the year, which all happened in a short period of time with changing distributors and everything was to have things be different. all the november releases are very different but all very strong within their style, and i've seen all of them on various people's favorites for year end discs which makes me happy. i don't expect everyone to love as eden burns, crowpath, terminal function and severed savior but those discs are all very strong IMO for the styles.

Vocals threw me off, and the solo tone the guitarist has is a little disappointing. Overally, reminds me of "Polars"-era Textures meets Coprofago

Never heard As Eden Burns, but the last three are all really solid discs.

This album is quite good, but besides this forum it has been getting shitty reviews. It won't make my top ten but it's a solid release and the vocals grow on you. Some interesting ideas in there, they just need to find their own sound.

I bet their next album will be better.

where? i haven't seen any yet, but who knows what happens in europe. the reviews that i've seen though in europe have been good too. i don't expect everyone to love the album though and reviews today have become pathetic. many times reviewers won't even like the genre they are reviewing or be familiar with it, it really has become worthless it seems.

this review is so bad its funny to me but whatever...
