I'm sure I'll catch shit for this but I don't care.
![]() Yes there are a few poppy songs, but the album as a whole has a dark, very organic vibe. The production is AMAZING in my opinion. Tracks like Echoes, Under My Umbrella, Mexico, 3am, Just a Phase, Aqueous Transmission, are very moody and very much transcend the style that you would expect a band like Incubus to play. If you only listen to one Incubus song ever, listen to Echoes. |

there's singing on "into the blue again", and the songwriting is slightly more developed and less sparse.. but it's still pretty similar musically. it's not the most engaging album but when i'm in the mood it's pretty nice.. check it out, you'll probably at least like a few tracks. pretty cool mini-documentary about the making of it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qFWkCEpzyME |

Yeah, I don't think the music on IASP is really that bad, it's just the instrumentation is very bland, save for a couple tracks...there are no dynamics. I had pretty high hopes when I bought it because I knew it was recorded in Sigur Rós' studio and they played some music on it, but it was disappointing. I'll check this album out though :D And The Depreciation Guild is just fucking awesome. |

![]() I can't stop listening to this album. I haven't heard anything so extremely moving in ages. The Host of Seraphim sounds like a requiem for the human race... goddamn it still gives me chills. |
