i love the first 4 or so songs on that album but then it just drops off BIG time for me. it's on sale for 8 bucks this week at best buy so i'll probably pick it up and force a ton of listens in.

I think Yasushi Yoshida is too rhythmically focused and intense for me. But that could be that I judge beauty by how awesome I sleep after falling asleep listening to it. Yasushi woke me up a few times. It's definitely one of the better posts in this thread, though.

The Elected are one of my favorite discoveries from this thread. Both of their albums put me in such a great and care free mood.

Yeah they rule. Me and my buddy from high school used to blast Biggest Star and I'll Be Your Man whenever we drove together. Windows open, top down. No, I don't have a convertible. Nevermind. But I get chills whenever I get to the end of Biggest Star. The Elected, Rilo Kiley, and some of Jenny Lewis' solo stuff together make for one huge goosebump.

I'm not the biggest fan of most of Jenny Lewis' projects. I like a few Rilo Kiley songs but that's about it. Her work with the Postal Service was fantastic though. But yea I was really surprised to find out The Elected featured members of Rilo Kiley.

Actually, one of the the bassists of the Elected, his name is Daniel Brummell. He is one of the main songwriters of a band named Ozma. Ozma is my #1 favorite band of all time. Though Sigur Ros is catching up quick. Check Ozma out. Seriously.
