I don't think its a big and different enough genre to have its own name.

I mean Spazz is powerviolence, but who else? Nobody knows.

While there is a difference in sound (not huge though), it was also a lot about being more towards the hardcore/punk DIY attitude than most the grind bands were.

Powerviolence is a completely different monster from grind. Powerviolence is to fastcore, what grind is to deathmetal. Most modern grind bands have dipped their dicks too far into deathgrind and experimental music to have the same aesthetic of PV bands anyway.
