Recording is postponed till all the members regroup in the middle of August, but when we do it will be in one of the bandmembers' basement studio. DIY mothafuckas.

I've been messing around with some electronic production type shit, in the vein of Boards of Canada at certain parts, and also poppier more mainstream stuff like La Roux.

Looking for a (preferably female) vocalist for this stuff, but check it out if you want nonetheless:

my band recorded a new album last year with JK that we released this year. Several MP3s up here:

www.myspace.com/calledtoarms

album on amazon, itunes or here:

http://www.mediafire.com/?bymv2eyh4nm

The EP that people on here have heard from us in the past was written 6 years ago, so if you didn't like that give this one a shot as we definitely changed a lot of stuff around in that time frame.

Gotten a positive reception and very positive reviews so far.

I think your band was a few years later in jumping on that bandwagon.

This is actually pretty cool. Reminds me of At All Cost and MCODE... And other pre 2004 experimental metalcore bands from my area. Good stuff man.

Dudes, what is your preferred alternative to MySpace these days? My band's about to relaunch and we've got a ton of options now.

Facebook
Facebook with BandPages
Bandcamp
SoundClick
SoundCloud

Anything else? Obviously we'll have a Facebook, but any thoughts on the others?

Hey duders, you guys probably don't know me, but I used to post here a while back, now I just lurk the SMN and apparatus forums. I play with a band called Bedlam of Cacophony, someone uploaded one of our tracks on Youtube, and I thought I'd pass it on.
If you dig it, please spread the word, we just released an album entitled "Neuroleptic" and we even had a small mention in Decibel Magazine. Any feedback would be appreciated.

Since I know you post there, there's this site some guy on the B9 runs and it is similar to Bandcamp, but the band pages are such more awesome. People are just starting to sign up and put shit up there, but it's awesome. Forgot the name though, I'll try and find it.

Otherwise, I like Bandcamp the best. So much faster and more convenient than FB, and cleaner and less buggy compared to Myspace.

It's Stereokiller. Good site.

That was pretty awesome man. Very chaotic, dense stuff. I'll have to check out some more.

This stuff is great. This kind of music is hard to digest in large bites, but still good. Your vocalist is fucking sick, too.

I know of some other one like bandcamp, but I can't think of it right now...but bandcamp is the shit. Trying to get back into recording but it's hard to find the time. Anyway, think I might have posted this stuff before but I'll do it again. Just some stuff that I did with a friend. We were trying to do some cool shit with two drummers and what not. I guess it's like ambient/metal/hardrock? Have a bunch more written and ready to be recorded.

Oh yea, sorry about the annoying noise in the first one. Forgot to cut the delay haha. Let me know what yall think!
