yeah.. unfortunately, if you're "signed" to a big publisher (ea, kotickvision, ubi, sega) you're pretty much bound to do despicable shit. just look at Creative Assebmbly. not 5 years ago they were releasing awesome expansion packs for their TW games that truly expanded and extended the base games which were (and still are) some of the most moddable games in existence. today they release "DLCs" that are blatantly included in patches. DLCs of material that has obviously been cut so that it could be sold separately later, material that, if they kept their promise that their newer engines would be "the most moddable TW ever", would've been done sooner and better by modders. and that's just the tip of the iceberg...

![]() more "Diablo" than "Daiblo 3" could ever hope to be. at the very least it doesn't look like a WoW spin-off. and it has a cool barter-based economy and a pretty awesome skill tree: and it's going to be free-to-play |

no idea but likely not (from what i heard, it will be only cosmetic stuff. it's not yet implemented in the beta). the beta is now up to version 0.9.6f (so i guess they're not far from release :P) and the only major drawback so far is the little enemy variety per area (i haven't finished the game yet, only up to act 2 so it may very well change later on). the graphics are pretty good and atmospheric, the skill system is really cool, and the barter economy pretty much makes sure you won't be swimming in cash after 30mins (or even after many hours)

Not to side with Shadowcunter, but after playing BF3 on the PC......the term "consoletard" is so accurate hahaha.
I have it on PS3 too and they have NO fucking idea how to PTFO, aim is obviously shit, and there appears to be no thought process involved in playing. Literally lemmings into the gunfire. Leaves me speechless quite often. Not a big task to rape on the console, as long as your stick aim is decent. |

Yes, but it's easier to mow down the clueless lemmings and get a good KDR. It's even easier to PTFO, because you can mow down the lemmings and plant the charge/cap the point. Pitiful resistance in most cases.
Like backraging on Grand Bazaar B-death alley, possible almost every single time. Not even difficult to aim, just head over there with an MG36 via the Highway, mow them down get the cap, have a cup of tea, then head over to A and cap that too. Then spawn camp them to victory. On PC you just can't do that shit, not just because more people can outshoot you, but because they also know how to play on point and move tactically. There is actual teamwork between strangers, even without VOIP comms. |

I played the beta and was disappointed. I was really let down by the poor optimization. When I can run the Witcher 2 and even BF3 maxed with a respectable frame rate but D3 chugs at my native res...that makes my penis soft. Maybe it was just the class (witch doctor) but I wasn't impressed by the game play either.

Diablo fan fa lyfe.
I played the beta and the only thing that disappointed me was it was only a part of Act I. Loved the new skill system. Also, it ran perfectly fine for me at 1920 reso. |

Motha fucka, I invited you to run lfd2 with my crew and you were blasting my boys with a shotty/friendly fire close corridor. Come on now.
Anyway, it felt like a time waster to me. It wasn't a challenge and the game felt forced. I just didn't have fun with the demo. Hey, maybe the classes are like..say..arcane mage where you dont have fun until level 60. I dont know. The one class I played left my penis flaccid enough to not want to play again. |

because Kotick. (seriously, because kotick or someone at activision was likely fed up with "when it's done", set them a deadline and said "cut content if necessary, we can always make more $$$ by selling it as DLC")
but seriously, the performance issues encountered by such a huge number of players for a game that has been in development for so long and looks so dated (and shitty and cartoony compared to it's predecessors) is mind-boggling. D3 is shit. deal with it ![]() |
