Some of the songs have drum tracks, but some don't. If the song has a "vocal" track, just mute it. This is the latest song finished for Archaeon. Tell me what you think. I'm still not 100% sure on the transition between the last two bars. Oh and the thing at the end is something I was messing with; it's not really part of the song.

I wrote it out in GP5.2 but I export it as a GP4 file in case anyone doesn't have GP5.2. If the file adds the weird triplet feel thing, just take it off and it will all be good.

This is something I started working on today. I wrote it using a looping station I borrowed from a friend. So far its about two and a half minutes in length. Feedback would be cool, although I like it and thats enough for me.

I'm not sure what I'm going to use it for. I don't have a band per se, but I have a lot of friends who kind of cycle through and jam. I had a friend let me borrow his looping station, and then I started trying to do a couple different things, and then complement them as well as I could with a second guitar part (which I don't get to do a lot cause there are very few local guitarists around my skill level who enjoy the same stuff I do). After that, I tried mixing up the time signatures a bit, but I still have a lot of work to do getting used to sig changes. I really have a lot of work to do with phrasing and signatures, but its kind of cool how it opens up all kinds of new opportunities. I really want to record it at some point though. And the drums were kind of just thrown together for it. I've already changed some of it, and more of it will be changed soon.

Yours is fucking awesome. I'm actually getting into this more than most of the other material up to this point. Its experimenting with so many different things, but still keeping an incredibly clear and unobstructed flow. I can't wait to hear this recorded. Is this going to be on the Promo?

Oh and I can actually update this now, I think. I don't really remember where that MIDI was the last time I updated it, but I'm pretty sure I've written/changed a bit more since then.

Yeah, this is sounding good. The acoustic section will sound awesome with actual strumming, haha. I take it it's not completely finished yet? What tuning is it in? Do you think you'll be able to record it anytime soon? I'm supposed to be getting a new computer soon so hopefully I can start recording myself and ideas I get.

Yeah, I've been slowly picking at it, and trying to write new parts/mix up what is already written right now. Its in E Standard, and I don't think I'll be able to record it for a while. All I really have right now is a laptop, a computer mic, and a Marshall G80RCD that I borrowed from a friend. I'm pretty poor at the moment, but maybe I can talk a friend into helping me record. Hes got a pretty awesome set up at his house, and he is actually one of the best drummers in the area. I don't know. Maybe when I finish writing I'll talk to him about it.

Sort of, I have a friend up in Alberta that I'm planning to form some sort of project with when I move up there, and a few buddies down here that I jam with once in a blue moon, but thats about it. I don't have any of it recorded either, haha. Most of it is actually written away from my guitar/bass anyway, so I'd have to learn it first (if I can even play it...).

MIDI guitar sounds weird cause it's in Bb (to match what my guitar is in now; ultimately will be in C or D)

Just an intro, havn't added the second guitar yet to all parts(lazy + no time) just three riffs, about 44 seconds long. Sorry for my lack of GP professionalism- I will add the second guitar and some more drums and re-post (when I get back home) and hopefully it won't sound like complete ass then.....just wanted to get something up for the time being.
