but I can't seem to figure out how. I could use a gate, but I'm not sure where to put it. do you have any tips? the part I'm referring to occurs around 0:23

EDIT: I should add that automating the main stereo bus so it's on mute sounds a bit abrupt.

Sorry, haven't checked this thread for a while; you mean the part right before the ending of this sample?

I guess I would just cut every instrument very precise...drums/cymbals will be a bit difficult but I had the same problem once and solved it by doing that:

Just take the last few seconds of the drum track, cut it from the rest and put a quck fade out on it; could work on this too if you play around with the settings and cut at the right place.

yeah, I've figured out a way to do it since then. thanks though.

edit: do you still use DKFH or have you upgraded to Superior? Having the hardest time getting the bass and kick to play nicely together.

Ambient / Electronic song from a cd I'm producing:

edit: the synth pads aren't clipping; they have a slight fuzz effect on them.

This recorded awhile back. Too lazy to re-record with my new guitar tones.

New E.P. from AGHAST! is coming out soon... here's the first track. hopefully we've got a good 'tone' this time.

AGHAST! - BANG TO RIGHTS!

i think the cowbell has been boosted to the near ridiculous, I don't know why... back to the producer.

Interestingly enough, the guy that did this worked with Duran Duran, Oasis, the Wildhearts etc and this is the most 'metal' thing he's ever worked on.

We recorded on the same desk that Girls on Film was recorded on... i think thats fucking awesome.

In the process of making a band; these were the demos I used to find members, just have a bassist and a vocalist to go.

Awesome, sounds like a mixture of Everything Is Fire and Catch 33.
You should record a whole song.
