I'd like to know what the boys in Kataklysm are listening to at the moment!
As for me (am I the only guy who posts in this anymore?!): Samael's 'Above'.... totally different sound. Pretty harsh, blasting industrial black/death with a touch of old Samael melody. What a transformation, almost unrecognisable. Worth checking out for old and new fans alike. |

'Reprisal' is BADASS!!! \m/
Bolt Thrower - '...For Victory' All-time classic DM album, their best I think. Kataklysm fans should check it out if they haven't already. DM with groove, memorable melodies and vocals you can understand. |

for fans of Technical Death Metal
ARSIS rules http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Apxbh...om=PL&index=27 as for the new Satyricon, it's just not growing on me, I don't know maybe I have to listen to it more... I love black crow on a tombstone though.. and I'm digging Ex Deo, can't wait for that album's release |

^^ Have heard a lot about Arsis. Will have to check them out and see what the fuss is about! : )
I agree - Satyricon are totally stagnant... they've lost me completely now. Age of Nero sorta had a couple of 'moments' that gave a brief glimmer of hope, but it's still not even a pimple on the ass of Rebel Extravaganza, let alone the unholy triumvirate of DMT, Shadowthrone and Nemesis Divina! RIP? |

On the off chance that I'm not listening to 'Romulus'...
Naglfar - 'Vittra' Their first and prob best album, love it. But they kinda suck now - very bland BM. |

Man Must Die - No Tolerance For Imperfection
First time hearing them and I'm very impressed. Brutal, angry DM but they mix some cool Carcass-like harmonies in Marduk - Wormwood This is the shit! Their most well-balanced album since Opus Nocturne. Mortuus just slays it. Loving this. |

Gorgoroth - 'Quantos Possunt ad Satanitatem Trahunt'
Best BM album of the year in my books. The last Gorgoroth album with Gaahl and King was good, but now with all the legal shit sorted out and the welcome return of Pest on vokills and Infernus writing the music, Gorgoroth circa 2009 is better and truer than ever. "Rebirth of GOR-GO-ROOOOOTHHHH!!!" |
