Awesome old school death metal. Nobody is talking about it here because this forum is dead. I just stumble in here from time to time and its seems pretty dead. What happened? This forum used to be so great.

Well it seems to me like people who have been members here for over 11 years and have only posted 138 times happened. Why not post a little more frequently yourself to help out?

Re: Why isn't anyone talking about the new Gruesome cd?

I'd like to see more worship of this era in Death's history which seems to be lacking compared to Human and onward influences, Swedeath revivalists, and so forth.

Interesting to see Jarrett Pritchard's name attached to this as I'm unfamiliar with his work as an engineer and producer, but he did a fine job of getting in the ballpark with that Morrisound/Scott Burns sound.

Listened to a few tracks earlier last week. I'll stick to Death. As clone version 223.05, the album sounds too close to Death and doesn't improve, there's nothing new.

Dunno is there another forum or community people left to? I think the downfall started when Majewski left

If you wanted Leprosy and/or Spiritual Healing to be a few tracks longer, this is the album for you.

Re: Why isn't anyone talking about the new Gruesome cd?

s'pretty good. I don't listen to much metal released before 98' anymore (I know, I know, I'm a poser faggot ), so this style doesn't really intrinsically appeal to me.

Re: Why isn't anyone talking about the new Gruesome cd?

listened to a track or two and it has gotten my attention. based on what others have said, it seems that this is the type of worship album that will make me want to listen to the originator of this sound (death). despite that, i'll still check out the album in its entirety.
