Marshall amps = black metal?

FUCK YOU MARSHALL AMPLIFIERS

I thought you all might be interested in a recent contest that Marshall ran and posted on their marshallheadphones.com website.

The deal....post your best photo wearing corpse paint and win a 'pitch black' amplifier and a set of 'pitch black' Major and Minor headphones. Just upload your photo to their Facebook wall and wait to win the prize.

The rules? One entry per person. If you submit more than one entry you are automatically disqualified.

Sounds easy right? What could go wrong??

I uploaded my photo and viewed all the other entries. Quite a few people did not read the rules and disqualified themselves by uploading more than one photo. Or were they disqualified??!!

Not only did Marshall award a runner-up prize to someone who submitted 3 photos, but the winner they chose as best representation of corpse paint and black metal was THIS https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=3433675916805 video. An insult to black metal as an art and genre? You decide. Just wait until 1:21 when the kazoo comes out. Nothing personal to the winner...congrats to the kid for winning. What I am asking is is THIS really how Marshall sees the art of black metal???? I was insulted that Marshall chose this as the winner.

To top it off, after looking at the photos of the 4 runner-ups and finding that one of them had submitted 3 photos, thus technically disqualifying themselves, I posted to the Marshall facebook wall asking WHY someone who was disqualified won a prize.

Marshall's answer... NOTHING. I was BANNED from the page. I was SHOCKED. I simply pointed out that Marshall had not followed their OWN RULES; I held their feet to the fire. They went running.

Nice work Marhsall. All you had to do was explain how I misunderstood the 'one entry per person or you are disqualified' rule...but I guess you KNOW you screwed up and now want to just hide behind a facebook page. This is how you do business? Now I really wonder WHO competed in the contest...everyone that submitted multiple photos?

The apathy of the others that competed to fail to bring this to Marshall's attention was surprising to say the least. NO ONE spoke up. I guess it is just easier to lay down and let people walk all over you? Not in my black metal book...

Some people will say I'm a sore loser...and that is not true. It is the principle of the issue and the fact that MARSHALL WOULD NOT ADDRESS THE DISCREPANCY. Maybe I'm making too big of a deal over a small contest, but it speaks volumes to me as far as a company and how they do business...that is, however they want, making up and changing the rules as they go.

Top it off with Marshall LAUGHING at the genre of dark art and corpse paint in general, and I'd be EMBARRASSED to be standing in front of Marshall gear on stage. Thanks for making me see the light Marshall, or should I say the darkness?

You've proved that you are a company that really has ZERO understanding of black metal, much less any respect for the art. I guess I should have known that a major brand would totally miss the mark on the underground scene. Thanks for reminding me why I'm underground...I'm honest.

You must be aware that those who run the facebook page probably don't come close to having any actual power or representational credibility in Marshall.
Also...
I would not have thought any popularity contest would be Black Metal. Cant see any Count loading up photos of burning churches getting them deals.

Heyy, Hello everybody , i love listening to Marshall's songs and i found them really good , the music is always great in his songs and also the lyrics are better and i like them all , some of your songs are really good but i agree that some are not up to that level of your other songs, but marshall always tried to do a great job and i like you for this attitude.
