It seems to be getting pretty meh reviews. Mainly about it's pacing, I believe. That's disappointing. If they have a demo on PSN I'd try it before buying.

D3 review...

I clocked a lot of time into D3 and decided it's overrated. The story is horribly conveyed later on (like in Act III and IV, where the evils are basically telling you where to go after each objective) and there's way too much carrot-on-a-stick going on. People say that that is what D2 was like, but I disagree. Inferno isn't rewarding because it's just the elite mobs that are hard... and not in a good way. Most of them are just cheap. You beat them by either kiting them or avoiding them completely. Act III and IV seem like they were rushed. If the whole game was like act I it would be a lot better.

I haven't played hardcore yet, which would probably be much more rewarding. My computer lags too much. Once I get a new PC then I probably will. Even then I'm sure online lag would still end up killing me.

Also, no PVP yet and the auction house is just badly implemented. These will be patched in, which is good. Too bad they cant patch in a new story for the last two acts, though.

reviewers are morons. corrupted morons at that. pretty much all the complaints they have for DD are also there in their beloved skyrims and dragon ages except those were made by western companies that bribed them as usual, except DD doesn't have shitty level scaling and the combat and exploration are actually very well made and fun, and the party AI is pretty damn neat. if you want a decent and relatively objective review, there's one for the OXM magazine (the dude had the game for quite a long time and posted plenty of solid videos on their yt channel)

there's a demo on psn, but it's shitty. you have an OP party in the tutorial and an OP party for a griffing hunting quest. pretty boring and way too short

Ah OK, Thanks for the info. reviewers are pretty stupid, I agree. I just watched gametrailers.com's review and they said the gameplay was awesome. Their main gripes were with the story and that mob locations are kind of predictable. I think I'd like this game.

Actually, as far as reviews are concerned Game Informer gave it an 8.5 which is a pretty damn good score if you ask me. Regardless I still want to play this game since it does sound and look amazing.

As for those claiming it's receiving nothing but negative reviews, that's probably because the ones who are reviewing it are most likely not avid RPG players nor do they comprehend them in the first place. Further if you pay close attention to the writing of some of these reviewers, you'll find that they're most likely immature fan boys just barely out of their teens who were hired to review games as college interns or whatever.. Fuck them and their community college journalistic degrees!

German Gamepro gave 79 to DD, whilst Skyrim got 93. And in their System 79 means "for fans of the genre". It is a typical bought-reviews magazine though, I never saw one of the "blockbuster" games getting even mediocre scores.

Sticks are where they're supposed to be (where your thumbs naturally rest), the whole pad is designed for them to be the primary thang your fingers are gonna twiddle, Nintendo always had the most ergonomic shit out there. If that shit will support USB, I'mma fucking get one for my PC.

watching e3 on g4 this past week has gotten me in the mood to play video games again. my brother recently bought metro 2033 and batman arkham city goty edition. i've also got assassin's creed 1 coming in the mail. i think i'll be pretty busy with those games.

Apparently they were running this demo on a PC. People are speculating that it will be for a next-gen console or its graphics will be nerfed for current consoles.

It definitely looks like a game that doesn't involve much "playing" but based on that short clip the atmosphere alone seems engrossing. Probably would get tedious though. Especially for someone like me who feels more than 30 minutes playing a video game is over-indulging my procrastination.

If it's on Xbox however I'll definitely give it a go.
