Yup, and the teasers are pretty promising. Crazy that NB has been able to keep such a tight lid on this album seeing as it's getting released within a week and there's no leaked promo version.

That does surprise me with so many reviews out there for it.

My only concern is that the music might be too busy. The samples sounded good, but eight years and 1600 tracks, hopefully it's not too convoluted. I'm pretty sure I'll thoroughly enjoy this album either way.

I don't even slightly care for this style of metal but this band is just too fucking good. I'm mesmerized everytime I listen to them. Solos are mindblowing too.

They sound pretty fucking good live too.

Random but interesting fact : Their drummer used to play in Cartilage [one of the best finnish DM bands ever in my opinion] and Vomiturition. Huge contrast.

I don't know what genre to put Wintersun in, but I probably hate every other band in that genre. I guess they're the exception to the rule. I generally speaking hate all the bands that have these elements in their music.

Seeing them live tonight. It's the first show they're doing for the new album. Always good to catch up with Kai and curious to see how he pulls this off, after having just been on a 5 or 6 week tour with Swallow the Sun. Slightly different gigs, hah!

Kai is an exceptional drummer. Murderworks is one of my favorite grind albums of all time and Kai does everything from teaching young kids to pro clinics to blues and jazz.

I preordered this.

I don't know if I want to download the leak and listen though or not.

My intention is to sit down with this album, with the booklet in my hands, and listen to it all with the lyrics in one sitting. I haven't done that with an album in years.

So eager to hear it though.

While this still sounds like Wintersun I don't feel like this album is as shreddy as the self-titled. That's not a bad thing really, the album is still really good, I just noticed it's different in that aspect.
