Take the light rail from the airport to Lexington Market. If your hotel is by the Sonar, then it will be a 15 minute walk east from the Lexington Market stop. It's like $2.50 for the light rail fare. Cab fares will set you back at least $45-50.

I guess while we're on topic how much would it cost to get from my hotel to Sonar (4.08 miles or so)? Thanks for any advice.

I took transit to Penn Station. Then, the FREE BUS stops right in front on Charles St. (just started up a year or so ago) runs every 15 mins from there. Drops you off 3 blocks from Sonar and right by that hotel.
' The FREE BUS is great if you want to see the city a 'lil. When I lived there, they were about to expand to Fells Point and Federal Hill...It's called the "loop" bus or some shit

I always get in kind of early on thursday, and I take the light rail(like 2 bucks) down to Camden Yards, get food in that area and walk from there. It's like 10 blocks to pretty much every hotel and Sonar from there. Just map it out ahead of time, but Baltimore is really easy to navigate. Lexington Market is only one or two more stops and will get you close to everything too. There's always a bunch of MDF people on the rail too, so just tag along.
