Are there a lot of cops there usually? I guess my question is how easy is it to get away with smoking weed when there?

actually...not that bad, but they'll be patroling the parking lot, as well as working with security inside the fest area. you can totally get away with it...but i'd be shady, and don't carry any guns or anything that might give it away that you are totally lawless

If by some chance you have the urge to smoke up during a band's set so you can enjoy their set more.. I'd carry a pipe and conceal it the best way you can. Don't just spark up a joint out in the open where security can easily smell the sweet smoke wafting in their direction. Having a little bowl to pack is easier to ward off any unwanted attention.. especially if you don't want to have to deal with strangers trying to cop/mooch a toke off you as well!

Actaully, for the past couple years, I don't recall seeing many cops at all in the area right around the club??? You can't throw a stick up in the air without it coming down on security though - not sure how tough they are on smokers...but I don't remember folks having a lot of probs?

It's what's been said before - it all depends how "offensively" you exhibit your smoking activity. If you'r just quietly smoking and keeping it low-key you'll not attract attention. But I've seen people get busted for all kinds of things so better watch out

My group smoked a bazillion joints last year and we were cool, and I saw a LOT of blatant weed smoking going on. Just be aware of your surroundings, follow the flow of the other "heads" in the crowd, and don't be a dick.

If a cop was on here so what? Cops aren't that dumb. I'm sure they're aware that pot smoking goes on at concerts and especially at metal concerts. I'm sure they don't want to bust someone who is just smoking weed. I was just asking because I'm not trying to smoke it in their faces.

For me they've always been a nuisance in that I have to hide my beer but I've never seen them act "over the top". Mostly they want to keep people at bay at make a statement.
