BUYING NEW SHIT
I am finally going to buy a new gitfiddle and new (used) amp! Haters gon' hate, but I'm going with a Schecter C-7 Blackjack ATX and either a Mesa F-50 1x12 or an F-50 head/2x12 setup. For the money I'm trying to spend (under $1200, preferably under $1000), any other ideas? I've looked at Carvins (wish I had more dough, haha) and some Ibanez RGs, but I like the Schecters despite their so-so reputation. The C-7 SLS is gorgeous, but it's like $8-900.
My dream setup would be a Mayones 7 with an Engl Powerball, maybe an Invader. Or a good ol' dual rec, but unfortunately I don't have 7 grand to drop on gear, lol. I'm open to suggestions though.

I've never played a good schecter 7 string. Unless you've played one you like i'd say its not worth 800 bucks.

^he's right. plus that combo won't sound half as good as the f-50 stacked with a nice cab.

nice purchase croy. and srsly mzn. no schecter. you will regret it. i was just playing a show with a band the other day whose wiring completely went out mid-set on his schecter. and it was a decent one too.

I've got a Schecter C-7 Blackjack, and it's a beast. No complaints other than stock pickups and stock nut. It's a bit on the heavy side, but it's weight shines through the tone.
