^^^Totally relevant to the new album, what the fuck would a bunch of Frenchmen know about a drought? Australians are the kings of droughts. Our country is very fucking dry. The songs had better be good to make up for this slight.

Have gone from start to finish through their discog in the last week. This band hasn't released anything even bordering on mediocre in my book. The quintessential black metal band.

While I agree with you Bromfungus, it might be in a figurative our metaphorical sense. Maybe it's about that time when all the old people died in france because they had an ac drought.

Paracletus looks very different to Fas, so I'm not sure what you're basing that on.

Y'know, you might not be far off. France's biggest looming crisis is of energy, hence the massive nuclear program. Maybe DsO are worried about their electric supply, though I wouldn't mind hearing some acoustic DsO.

accodring to Wikipedia, cacti are native to the Americas with one exception...one type can be found in the middle of Africa and in Sri Lanka.
edit: but those cacti in the cover are definitely American. It's just weird to think of DsO material that may have lyrical ties or themes that have something to do with America.
