yup, capcom. the lead designer/director/producer/whatever is the dude behind the last 2 DMC titles (i.e. the best). i'm digging the way combat works, but the demo is way too short and easy (apparently the parties in the 2 short segments are lvl20 in lower level areas) to make an informed opinion

You're really this upset about them censoring child-like characters in a game? Who the fuck cares? This isn't like some huge artistic expression. Get over it. They don't want to provide wank fodder for the pedophiles of the world.

Yeah, I pre-purchased and it's a guaranteed way to get in. But I'm not sure how others get in; probably the closed beta players are also automatically in this beta.
I suggest that you follow them on facebook or check their website so maybe you can apply before the next beta weekend.

But maybe the beta weekends are for prepurchasers only.

Pedophiles are attracted to children, who don't have the typical sexual features of grown ups. The Elin on the other hand have exaggerated sexual features, so I don't even see how pedos would be attracted to them. The design is just typical "lolicon" style, essentially a style focusing on exaggerated lolita characters (and common in anime/manga).
Regardless, I may or may not try out the game, it's just the principle of censoring and underlying implications that I don't like. People who utilize this train of thought are the same who would argue that people who play Counterstrike have secret murder fantasies etc.

Violence is more acceptable in games then sexuality. This is really nothing new. There's been outrage as long as characters have looked semi-realistic.

Regardless of everything you said being basically correct it doesn't matter because its still a young-ish looking character being very sexual. People aren't comfortable with that. The way they justify it may be wrong but I realize why stuff like this makes people uncomfortable and why it isn't necessary to be present in a game.

Stick with it. I have it for the 360, and when I played it the first time, I hated it so much that I didn't touch it for over a month. I recently picked it back up and I'm enjoying it more than any non-sports game in a long time

Yes! Read the feature on it over at Gameinformer.com and I am pretty excited about it! I'm hoping the roster of characters is quite stellar too and it's about time they made a brawler like this for PS3, even if it is a Smash Bros. rip off, haha..

uhhh what ? there's no PSMove in this game...

Attacks are mapped to the Square, Triangle and Circle buttons coinciding with the direction you're pressing on the d-pad or left analog stick, giving each character an exceptional amount of moves. Path of Exile is having another open beta weekend, so you may want to try it. it looks much much (probably a bit too much) more like a diablo game than diablo3

The D3 open beta was terrible, they removed so many Diablo signature systems.
I'm playing Diablo 2 again (on a new ladder season).
Also playing Dungeon Defenders and the standard Tf2.
