well, It's not trendy to hate your playing... For me, it seems that most of the people who enjoy SoP music don't like Necrophagist and Obscura style very much and your solos fit there perfectly, it's not that they're bad. SoP is different, so obviously it's hard, maybe impossible for any player to switch his composing style that radically. I think there are many players who would fit there better, but that's just my opinion ( and many others have the same )

I like all 3 bands, and I think Muenzner was a good replacement, it's just that in SoP's context, Karlsson's leads were incomparable. Like I said before, I think his solos are actually well-done, and I really like the fact that he changed his soloing style quite a bit to record Incurso's leads.

First off, I think we should wait to hear the rest of the album before making any judgement on the lead playing. Christian is definitely the better guitarist out of the two. Whether it's the best for SOP, we'll see. In a dream band situation I think mongrain is the best possible lead player for the band but whatevs. This is like when everyone said Obscura was a necrophagist clone after only hearing anti-cosmic overload. Also, I don't think what he said was that terrible.
