i know the musicians forum has one but no one posts there, so i thought it'd be a good idea for there to be a general thread where we can post songs that we've written/recorded, whether it be for our bands or own personal projects :)

a black metal song my friend and I are almost done writing (just need to finish bass and we want to add on a riff or two). Emperor/Sacramentum style black metal with some DsO influence. Burzum influenced rituals in the middle of it. Excuse the two left over riffs at the end.

holy shit this sounds epic hahah what did you do to it? the mp3 i posted was actually pitch shifted down a wholestep cause i needed to show it to my bandmates so they could learn it. this one sounds better than the original i recorded heheh

mastered it, its not perfect since throwing a master on a 192 isn't exactly smart, but it got the job done I guess

how did you record?

i just recorded direct in and used lepou's lextac for guitars and bass, drums are superior 2.0. any tips on how to get started on mastering? that seems to be what my recordings are (completely) lacking in hahah

My band. Just fyi I play bass but our old guitarist quit about two weeks before we were scheduled to record but I decided to give it the old college try, practiced for two weeks and recorded the guitar and bass tracks. Had to change some shit cuz I couldn't pay it, like sweeps. And I went a little over the top on the harmonizing. The material sounded more grind before I changed some parts but oh well.

Yeah we are still active. We live in different cities, three of us in orange county one in la county. We ste actually playing a show tomorrow night in la with chon, fetus eaters, burning at the stake, black sheep wall and exhausted prayer.

We got a new guitarist around the same time and we are just starting to write new shit.got about three new songs, but they are different. Different influences and such.

Well the LA area has kind of gone down hill for shows after Dan Dismal stopped promoting but he's starting to get back on track it seems.
