I have a beginner bass: Ibanez GSR 190 which came as a combo pack n' junk.

I've had it for 5 years I think, I need lessons =/ I don't know if it's just wearing out or my ears are spoiled from trying out quality, higher end basses @ Guitar Center but it's just not sounding so great now a days

BC Rich Stealth, neckthru
BC Rich Ignitor, bolt-on
BC Rich ST III, NJ Series

The Warlock was my very first guitar, but I sold it since I hadn't touched it for years. The blue NJ Series Stealth has been sitting in its flightcase for years as well and will probably go soon.

It definitely plays smooth. Sometimes I prefer the feel of the unfinished bolt-on neck and sometimes I prefer the finished neckthru neck.

If I ever get another guitar it may be a neckthu Ignitor though. ;-)

A Hufschmid 6 string.
Probably grab another one from him later on...either a 7 or 8 string.

Samick Greg Bennet design "Interceptor". Had it for years.. Took a hell of a beating, but still plays wonderful, I love the neck. I got the replaced the stock humbucker with the invader. Still gotta change up the single coils. I also replaced the saddles with graphite ones.. I've had a few Ibanez guitars that I always end up selling cause I prefer this one.

I have one of these beasts, but I got rid of the DiMarzio pups as I hate their limited sound, got hooked up with active EMG '89 on the bridge & EMG '81 Jazz on the neck. It plays like a demon...

tossed the DiMarzio for an EMG?

I would have replaced the shitty potmetal edge III it most likely came with before messing with the pup.

I got no probs with the Edge III. It's not the brand name that counts, they pretty much all serve the same purpose, it's all to do with how you set the bridge up. I don't really use the trem much anyway... I got a penis if I feel like wanking. I was more concerned with getting a crisp & clear sound that can pick up an aurora borealis, than nurture lazy bad habits of bending notes easily.

What does the brand name have to with anything? They're all Ibanez, the edge IIIs are just made shittier with shittier materials. And if you think that playing on a shitty bridge will stave off "bad habits" guess again, if anything it will be the other way around.

Well I've had this guitar for just over 9 months & I've had less problems with the Edge III than I've had with different trem systems on other guitars I've owned. As for it being made with shit materials, I'm not really so anal to notice as long as it serves it's purpose (which it does rather well, with no complaints from me).

Fair play, you don't approve of the Edge III and your opinions are abviously far superior to mine on the subject. Just as well you don't have my guitar or you'd be one very unhappy camper... but still, there's plenty of others out there that will hopefully suit your specific tastes more rigidly...

LTD MH 250

Tis' a pretty fucking guitar, through neck, massively bassy tone, fun to play. Stock pups but +25db gain boost afterburner pot = huge saturated distortion with a pocket metal muff.

Still have my first guitar

an Ibanez S2020X (I think) but in cherry red, not antique violin. Shit has piezo in the bridge which is real fancy and gives you quite stunning clean tones, especially for the thin body. I DIY scalloped the fretboard just for kicks too, might take a picture of my guitar later and chuck it up here, but it's way too dusty at the moment.

Have been dreaming of a Jazzmaster ever since I saw Mono live, the tone on those is just phenomenal. Plus there's a video on Youtube of a guy playing metal on one – and it actually sounds surprisingly epic.
