Pickup Thread

I figured since there have been several threads about pickups we should have a thread specifically for that. Post the pickups you've tried, and what you like/dislike about them.

Seymour Duncan-

Sh-4(JB)-I actually love this pickup!. It's great for everything, but faster death metal. Unfortunately thats what i play a majority of the time. Just not tight enough

SH-5- Similar to the JB, but a lil more well balanced, and a bit hotter

SH-2(JAZZ)- Awesome neck pickup for anything.

Dimarzio-

Tone Zone-I personally didn't like this one. A lil to bass and muddy for my tastes. Fairly high output though

Evo-Awesome pickup! In my current guitar. Medium output compared to most of the pups i've tried.

PAF PRO- The best neck pickup!!

EMG 81/85: Decent pickup, has a bit of a generic tone to it, pretty much if you put it in any guitar it will sound exactly the same. I had this combo for a while, and I liked, but I ended up switching them out in the long run for...

Lundgren M6: Holy shit, THIS is pretty much the mother of all high gain pickups. It's incredibly hot, but incredibly clear with no noise whatsoever, and the tone screams death metal. I highly recommend this pickup to everyone and anyone who plays death metal.
