Due to The Berzerker artist Ivan Kenny-Sumiga currently re locating
he will be UNable to complete the album artwork by the deadline.

This opens up a very unique opportunity for 1 individual. Instead of Luke
going to the nearest design company he is giving the fans the chance to show
what that can do and perhaps make a name for them selves WORLDWIDE.

The art can be any style 2d or 3d. It just has to capture the brutality and
class of the music...

The winning artist will have to chance to deal direct with the Luke and to
design the album cover, inlay and art layout. The album has a world wide
release and distribution with all the major magazines writing and reviewing
the upcoming album.

This is a one - off opportunity for someone to hopefully
go on to have a career as an graphic artist

Please submit all ideas to info@theberzerker.com (try to keen file sizes
under 1 meg.)

I've already started working on mine.

Couple things I hope Luke can address though.

1.) What is the deadline for the submissions?
2.) How many entries per person?

According to Luke the deadline is October 28th of this year.

As far as I understand, we've gotta do it all from scratch.

Reason for fans designing the new art is Ivan Kenny-Sumiga (the guy that did all the work on previous albums, you can see him on the DVD) isn't available to do the artwork for this CD. So, instead of Luke having to find a pro to do it, he offered it to the fans first.

So to answer your question, I don't think we get any images supplied to make the new art with. Unless you want to try and use some of the wallpapers, old dragons, etc, etc, but, that wouldn't be very fresh art.

I don't think I'll be able to recreate the dragon, unless I really brush up on my 3d modeling skills, which I may do, I'm not sure.

Mine is gonna be rather crudely put together and have no original pictures, but it is the best I can do seeing as though I can't 3D-design or anything. At least it gives a gyst of my ideas, and hopefully people shall see the potential of it once it is complete.

Here is stage one of my design so far.

YES, I KNOW IT LOOKS LIKE THE WORLD OF LIES ARTWORK AT THE MOMENT,
BUT I'M DOING IT IN THREE STAGES. THIS IS ONLY STAGE ONE.

Like I said, nothing (apart from my homemade Berzerker logo) is my work.
I hope my design will just show a decent gyst of what I plan to do.
That's what we're doing, isn't it? Just showing ideas for Luke's approval?

Sounds to me like he just wants a cheaper deal. It's just an image on a cover of a CD that the vast majority of the world won't see and wouldn't give a damn about. Notice the 'perhaps' and 'hopefully'. That actually means 'not'.

I would also love to see a new dragon. I've tried a few different things so far, some of which I like and don't like. When I get back from work later, I'm going to open up my 3d modeling app, and attempt some sort of dragon. If I concentrate on it, I should be able to come up with something.

In my humble opinion mate, that dragon design is good in it's own right (good work), but I don't think its style belongs on a Berzerker album. That design looks more like its fit for a Yakuza album or something.

Just my opinion though mate, I don't know about others but I certainly would like to see a ferocious, Berzerker-style dragon!

I had this idea but I have no way of succeeding so I might as well say it . . .

The Berzerker - Industrial-style heavy-duty looking dragon
Dissimulate - This one looked more electrical to me
World of Lies - To me, WOL's looks like a heavy-duty blast furnace crane gone evil!

Anyway, HERE'S MY NEW IDEA.
We have three sorts of 'elements' in the first three albums.
How about we introduce a new one?

Water?
Stone/Earth/Rock?
Erm, wooden?

Lol, the first two were my proper ideas, but I felt I needed a third.

:p

An iron dragon emerging from the water. Very Metal Gear Solid 2 when Metal Gear Ray emerges from under water, this I wanna see!!

As for stone/rock, that would fucking rule I think. It may end up looking like Onyx from Pokemon though, but just steer clear from any Onyx-like stuff and you're rollin'!
